Myles Russell-Cook is the Senior Curator of Australian and First Nations Art at the National Gallery of Victoria (NGV). Myles is responsible for the NGV’s collections of Australian Art, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Art and the Art of Oceania, as well as work by First Nations artists globally.
This event is part of Bundanon’s public program for Miwatj YolÅ‹u – Sunrise People.
Miwatj Yolŋu – Sunrise People is an exhibition exploring storytelling, ecology and materiality in the works of Yolŋu artists from the Yirrkala Community in East Arnhem Land.
Presenting both senior and emerging artists from across the Yirrkala region, the exhibition highlights the centrality of weather patterns and ecological systems within Yolŋu culture.
